Szymon Piorek’s Sweden v Poland preview: all or nothing for Poland

Our Matchday Squad journalist will be covering Poland throughout Euro 2020
All or nothing – it’s the simplest summary of the situation the Polish team find themselves in before the last group stage match. Poland have to win against Sweden to reach the knock-out stages and a draw will not be enough.
The atmosphere around the camp is much better now after the 1-1 draw against Spain. We finally saw a real team, with players fighting for each other and one that can produce a good performance. We were also lucky, we can’t deny that, but you also need that in a big tournament. Now there is a game against Sweden and it’s not an opponent we traditionally like to play against. Poland have won only one of seven competitive matches and none since 1991.
Grzegorz Krychowiak is back in the squad after being suspended against Spain. The only injury concern is key defender Jan Bednarek who didn’t finish the game with Spain but there is still a chance he will be fit for Wednesday.
