Murat Yakin heads betting to be next Saints manager
Published:Coral has installed Murat Yakin as the front runner to succeed Mauricio Pochettino as the next Southampton manager in which the Turkish coach is the 7-2 favourite. Michael Laudrup is second best in the betting at 9-2 to take over at St Mary’s.
Despite the appointment of Pochettino at White Hart Lane, Spurs remain odds-on at 2-9 with Coral to go through their next season with no trophies, while they are 3-1 to win any major trophy. The north London club are 11-4 to finish in the top four at the end of the 2014/15 Premier League campaign.
“Murat Yakin is the early front runner for the Southampton job but it is quite an open market at this stage with Michael Laudrup and Paul Clement all prominent in the betting,” said Coral’s John Hill.
