Kingman now 4-1 favourite for 2,000 Guineas after Solario Stakes Stroll

Published:

Kingman is 4-1 (from 6-1) favourite with Coral for next year’s Qipco 2,000 Guineas, following his facile victory in this afternoon’s Solario Stakes.

“Kingman’s connections may disagree, but his Solario Stakes victory was a definite step in the right direction following his 6 length maiden success, and given the liabilities we have already built up on this colt, and the impressive nature of his two racecourse appearances, we are in no rush to lay him for the Qipco 2,000 Guineas,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

Tomorrow sees the fillies take centre stage, with Qipco 1,000 Guineas market leaders, Kiyoshi and Tapestry, clashing in the Group One Moyglare Stakes, while German star, Novellist, warms up for the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, a race he is currently 5-1 second favourite for, in the Grosser Preis Von Baden.
