4.10 Newmarket – Twelve Bars

Twelve Bars makes his debut here. He was a pleasing horse in the spring, and we’ve just given him a little bit of time to come to hand.

I think he’s got a future, but this is a pretty deep race to be starting off in – a typical Newmarket maiden with plenty of depth. It will be interesting to see how he gets on, but we’re looking forward to seeing him make his debut and then build from there.

4.45 Newmarket – Be The Standard

Be The Standard is dropping back in trip. He managed to get one of his hind legs caught up in his water bucket over Derby weekend, so unfortunately, he had to have a break.

He’s ready to start back now and his work has been pleasing. Given that he’s had such a long break, we just thought dropping him back a furlong might help him out. Hopefully, he can return with a good run.
