Bale 4/6 to leave White Hart Lane
Published:Despite the news that Real Madrid want to restart talks with Tottenham over the signing of Gareth Bale, Coral have lengthened the odds for the Welshman to leave White Hart Lane during the current transfer window from 1/2 to 4/6.
The Spanish giants have so far been unable to meet the north Londoners’ demands for Bale and on Monday the Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti suggested that he was planning for the new season without the 24-year-old. It’s 11/10 that Bale stays at Spurs.
“Gareth Bale was a short as 1/5 to leave White Hart Lane last week, but with the Spurs chairman Daniel Levy adamant that Bale won’t be leaving and the Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez stating that the price tag remains a major obstacle, this season’s most talked about transfer looks to be on the rocks,” said Coral’s Tim Reynolds.
Elsewhere, the transfer saga surrounding Wayne Rooney continues to hit the headlines. David Moyes remains adamant that Rooney will not be leaving United, but with the player himself having told Manchester United that he wants to join Chelsea, Rooney’s future at Old Trafford is still unclear. It’s 5/6 for the 27-year-old to leave United before the close of the transfer window and 5/6 he stays.
