Andy Murray 7-4 to win a Grand Slam title under new coach

Published:

With Andy Murray poised to announce his new coach tomorrow, bookmaker Coral has opened betting on how many Grand Slams he wins this year. It’s 4-9 that he fails to win a Grand Slam, 7-4 he wins one and 150-1 that he wins the remaining three.

Meanwhile, the firm is offering odds of 20-1 that the British number one re-hires Ivan Lendl on a full-time basis.

“Andy Murray won the US Open, Wimbledon and Olympic titles under Ivan Lendl so his replacement has a hard act to follow. With Novak Djokovic in scintillating form, the odds suggest that he will struggle to win a major tournament this year,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
