Live Casino at Coral

Live casino online sits between playing on your own and a night at a real table. There's a dealer, a real wheel or a real deck, a camera, and other people betting alongside you on the same round. It happens as you watch, and you can talk to the dealer while it does.

Below is how our live casino works, what's on the tables, and what to expect if you've never joined one before.

How live casino games work

A dealer stands at a real table in a studio with a camera on them, and that stream is what you're watching, shuffling and all. The betting layout sits beside the video. You put your chips down on your own device, and the dealer deals or spins once. That single round covers everyone at the table, however many of you are there.

Each round runs on a clock. You usually get around 20 seconds to get your bets down before the dealer calls no more bets, and from there the round plays out and settles automatically. Nothing is generated by software the way it is on an RNG game. The cards are real cards and the wheel is a real wheel, and you watch both the whole way through. That's the difference between live dealer casino games and the digital versions of the same games elsewhere in the lobby.

A quick look around the lobby

Tables are grouped by game, so all the roulette sits together and all the blackjack sits together. Each tile shows the dealer's name, the table minimum, and on roulette, the last few numbers to land.

A few things worth knowing before you pick one:

  • Minimums vary widely. The same game might have a table at well under a pound and another at fifty, both open at once.
  • Blackjack seats are limited. If a table is full you can wait for a seat, or use Bet Behind to back a hand that's already being played.
  • Roulette, baccarat and the game shows have no seat limit. Everyone watching bets on the same spin or deal.
  • Speed versions run identical rules on a shorter clock, which suits some people and rushes others.

You can sit at most tables and watch a few rounds without betting. It's the quickest way to see whether a table's pace suits you.

What you can play

Our live casino games cover the classics and a good deal beyond them.

Roulette is one of our busier sections, with single-zero European wheels as standard alongside multiplier tables like Quantum Roulette Live and Lightning Roulette. More on the bet types and table variants on our live roulette page.

Blackjack runs up to seven seats with side bets on most tables, plus Bet Behind when a table's full. Rules and variants are covered on the live blackjack page.

Baccarat is the simplest game on the floor. You back player, banker or tie, and there's nothing to decide once your chips are down. See the live baccarat page for the variants.

Game shows like Crazy Time, Monopoly Live and Adventures Beyond Wonderland are presenter-led rather than dealer-led, built around a wheel and a set of bonus rounds. They move faster than the table games and have their own bet types, so the info panel is worth two minutes before you join.

Live Poker and Live Table Games cover Casino Hold'em, 3 Card Brag, Monopoly Roll'Em, Craps, Lightning Dice, Bac Bo and Hi-Lo.

Alongside those, Roulette Exclusive and Blackjack Exclusive are our own rooms, open to Coral players only, which usually means a quieter table at busy times.

Playing on mobile

Every table works on a phone or tablet, either through the browser or the Coral app, with the layout switching to portrait so the stream sits above the betting grid.

A stable connection matters more here than on other games, because the round carries on whether your stream does or not. On patchy mobile data, the standard tables are more forgiving than the speed ones.

Stakes and playing for real money

Live tables are real money only. There's no demo mode and no free version, because there's a real dealer and a real table behind every round - the closest thing to free play is sitting at a table and watching without betting, which you can do at most of them.

Minimums start under a pound and run up to high-stakes rooms, and every table displays its minimum and maximum before you sit down.

It’s worth remembering that a table minimum is a per-round figure, not what a full hour session costs. Rounds come around quickly and they can easily add up faster than people expect. If you want a sense of what an evening will run to, sit at a table and watch for five minutes, count the rounds, and multiply that by the stake you'd have put on each one.

Speed tables and game shows get through noticeably more in the same five minutes, there's no one-size-fits-all - so it's worth checking the pace of the table you're on rather than assuming.

Live casino promotions

Any current live casino offers are listed on our promotions page, including anything running for new customers. Offers change regularly and each one has its own terms, so check the full conditions before opting in: wagering requirements, qualifying tables and time limits. Some promotions exclude live tables entirely, which is worth checking rather than assuming.

Who runs our tables

Our live games come from Evolution, Playtech and Pragmatic Play, three of the larger studios in the UK live casino market. Their dealers are trained and supervised on site, the equipment is checked and rotated, and the games are independently tested.

Coral is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. You can verify any licence directly on the Commission's public register, which is worth knowing how to do for any site you play on, not only this one.

Staying in control

Rounds come around quickly at a live table, and there's no natural pause the way there is between slot spins. Set deposit and session limits in your account before you start rather than partway through, and turn on reality check reminders if you tend to lose track of time. Time-out and self-exclusion options sit in the same part of your account.

Live casino FAQs

Can the dealer see me?

No, the camera only points one way. Dealers read the chat and most will say hello by name when you sit down, which makes it feel like they can. Nothing goes back from your side.

Can I play live casino games for free?

Not for stakes. Every live table is real money, because there's a dealer and a physical table behind each round. You can join most tables and watch without betting, which is worth doing before you commit to one you don't know.

Why didn’t my bet go on?

Usually the clock. Chips have to be on the layout before the dealer calls no more bets, and one placed in the last second sometimes doesn't land. If it keeps happening, check whether you're on a speed table - the standard ones give you longer.

The table I want is full, what now?

Blackjack seats are limited, so the popular tables do fill up. Wait for a seat, use Bet Behind to back a hand someone else is playing, or check whether the same game is running at another table, as there's usually more than one open. Roulette, baccarat and the game shows never fill, since everyone bets on the same round.

What happens if my connection drops mid-round?

Bets already on the table stand and the round settles without you. The result is in your account history when you're back. Anything you hadn't placed before the cut-off simply wasn't placed
