Coral Horse Racing: Lingfield Tips - December 17, 2025
Triple course and distance scorer, returns to a far more suitable trip here and off a reduced mark after a bit of a barren run for the Tony Carroll team.
Scored at Kempton in October and sixth when nudged up in the weights last time around, should go well after that last spin with a bit more experience behind him.
Picked up for £150,000 at the breeze-ups, was caught out by inexperience when well-backed on debut at Southwell but is still held in high regard so should get back on track here.
Form figures of 223 in three starts are the best in the field and the third came on the all-weather surface so can handle the polytrack here for the Simon and Ed Crisford team.
A newcomer for trainer Richard Hughes and a half-brother to three winners, he should be able to see off those with racecourse experience who don’t set a particularly high standard.
Fifth at this course last time out but had placed efforts in two previous runs, a return to form could be on the cards for the Mick Appleby runner.
Hard to look past Charlie Johnston’s runner in this one, with two wins from three starts on the all-weather, including just eight days ago at Wolverhampton.
A good winner at Chelmsford last time out, makes a fourth start at this course and was second over C&D last month.
Has won at this track a whopping four times, including just over a fortnight ago when making all the running and was second last week too so is very much in-from with regular rider Finley Marsh taking the reins again.
There are several horse racing meets on December 17, and Coral has previewed them all.
