WINDOWS INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Gala Coral Group is Europe’s largest integrated betting and gaming company, employing around 17,000 employees.  As well as over 1,700 betting offices, bingo clubs and casinos, we have a significant online presence in the UK and throughout Europe.

Due to substantial growth in our online offer, the E-Commerce Division currently has an excellent opportunity for a Windows Infrastructure Analyst to provide second and third line desktop and server support for the business and be involved in project work. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the e-commerce business products are available to customers
  • Reactive support as and when required
  • Participating in the support of Microsoft related products
  • Ensuring that existing backup procedures are followed and variance addressed by fix and/or escalation
  • Participating in system builds including those used for mobile computing

THE CANDIDATE:

You will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent, and have MCSE, Exchange and Active directory qualifications.
You will have significant experience in systems administration principally based on Microsoftâ products, server builds, support skills and maintenance in mission critical environments.
You will have good knowledge of TCPIP, cabling, hubs, routers and switches. You will also have good Windows scripting skills (VBScript).  Possessing a strong support background, you will be able to troubleshoot competently unaided and as part of a team.
Detailed HP Proliant server knowledge, Oracle and Internet based skills are desirable.

The department is covered 7 days a week with provision for on-call assistance. The position is full-time and as it involves working shift-based hours, including weekends and bank holidays the position would be better suited to candidates who live within a short commuting distance of the office.
