CREATIVE WEB DESIGNER

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Gala Coral Group is Europe’s largest integrated betting and gaming company, employing around 17,000 employees. As well as over 1,500 betting offices, bingo clubs and casinos, we have a significant online presence in the UK and throughout Europe.

Due to substantial growth in our online offer, the E-Commerce Division currently has an excellent opportunity for a Creative Web Designer. Reporting to the Head of Graphics, you will be responsible for designing fresh exciting visuals / ideas for our existing and new websites.

THE CANDIDATE:

With either an IT or Graphics academic background and 2 years’ experience in an IT Design environment, you will have experience of online web development. Your key skills include:

A range of graphics software skills, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and knowledge of Flash;
Proficiency with web coding languages such as HTML / CSS;
A clear understanding of how web pages are constructed;
Website application usability (essential).

Additionally, you will ideally possess and understanding of how web front-end design solutions interact with back-end contact management systems. The ability to collaborate with project managers, account managers and developers and work well within a team is essential. You will also have good technical skills, good communication skills and the ability to provide appropriate technical solutions to business related problems.

You will be from a creative background with the ability to think outside the box and create something unique, eye catching and original from a brief, whilst being able to understand the web usability of what has been designed.

An interest in Sports / Gaming would be an advantage.
