Gala Coral Group: E-Commerce Division Vacancies

NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

SALARY & BENEFITS:  Competitive
Based in Woking, Surrey

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Gala Coral Group is Europe’s largest integrated betting and gaming company, employing around 17,000 employees.  As well as over 1,500 betting offices, bingo clubs and casinos, we have a significant online presence in the UK and throughout Europe.

Due to substantial growth in our online offer, the E-Commerce Division currently has an excellent opportunity for a Network Administrator to take responsibility for the implementation, testing and documentation of the network environment.

This role is primarily to support the network infrastructure around multiple large websites, involving Internet routing, websites, network exploits, network attack mitigation, IPS, IDS, load balancing, and TCP/IP communication.   Working with other teams, you will deploy, move and upgrade network equipment while maintaining full uptime.

THE CANDIDATE:

You will have experience in network support & implementation in a 24x7 mission critical secure environment. Across the board Cisco experience (CCNA) is essential.  You will possess excellent monitoring skills and the ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner, as well as having good documentation and implementation skills and a proactive approach to potential problems.  Technically you will be well versed in Cisco Products (IP/LAN/WAN) and Monitoring Systems and have experience of managed services/Web hosting environments and architecture design (within all networking areas).

You will be a flexible individual, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. Business/commercial awareness and organisation skills are also essential.

The department is covered 7 days a week, 24 hours a day (night shift is covered on an ‘on-call basis’). The position is full-time and, as it involves working shift-based hours including weekends and bank holidays, it would be better suited to candidates who live within a short commuting distance of the office.

An interest in Sports / Gaming would be an advantage.
